Who were they? And why were they not included in Danish architecture history? Svava Riesto visited the Danish Broadcasting Corporation radio show ‘Kulturen på P1’ to talk about women architects, wellfare landscapes and the need for diversity in architecture history.

Amongst other themes, Svava talked about Kildeskovshallen north of Copenhagen. The building complex, stretching over a 31.000 m2 and located north of Copenhagen. It is built in three stages: 1966-1969 and 1970-1972 by architects Karen and Ebbe Clemmensen and landscape architect Agnete Muusfeldt and 2002-2003 in collaboration with Heritage Agency and Ebbe Clemmensen. The place is today classified as a protected building.

Kildeskovshallen comprises 2 large sports halls, 4 smaller sports halls, a gymnasium, 5 swimming basins and meeting and club rooms, cafeteria, gym and physiotherapy.

Agnete Muusfeldt is one of the landscape architects we focus on in our research project.
